His follow-up release is a 2-track EP, titled "King Mode" and rightfully so as J. Augustus is not afraid to show off the potential he is capable of. Coming in to his own raw production style, his music like his name, has evolved and grown.

The title track, "King Mode" is pure 174 BPM magic and there is something primal about the groove and gritty synth that show J.Augustus isn't just filling his tracks with samples but that he knows his way around sound design as well. The second track, "Hover Truck", is a banging sleeper and the star of this show. With its unapologetic aggression and frenzy that mirrors perfectly the feeling of the times we're living in right now, it also rises above the dark times and brings about a kind of spiritual experience. The bass drops into the depths while the mids and highs grind and screech in a way that transcends past all intellect and dives straight into the soul. The percussional mathematical timing of the second drop is unexpected and bassline is highly satisfying.
